Meet Pastor Alton!

Pastor Alton was educated in Wilson County Schools graduating from Beddingfield High School. He continued his education at East Carolina University. While attending ECU, Pastor Alton heard and received his calling into the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was called into the gospel ministry at a young age answering the call at the age of 19.  He preached his initial sermon at the age of 20 on October 15, 2000, and has been preaching the word of God ever since.

Pastor Thompson is gifted in many areas of ministry including singing, dancing, teaching, and preaching, with a powerful prophetic and healing anointing upon his life.  Pastor Thompson was trained in the ministry; and ordained as an Elder, by the laying on of hands in the Goldsboro Raleigh District Assembly of Churches of Christ Disciples of Christ in 2007 under the auspices of Bishop C. L. Aycock and Pastor David Sutton.  In the past, he served as an associate elder, prison ministry leader, choir member, minister of dance, and intercessory prayer ministry member and Youth Pastor at Interstate Ministries Inc. under the leadership of Bishop Terence T. & Lady Serreda Jenkins.

At His Feet Charitable Group, is the vision for a non-profit organization that God has charged him with for this hour.  He has transitioned now into the position of Head Pastor over At His Feet Ministries which entails missions/prison ministry, where God is perfecting in him the foundation for his next phase of ministry and career.

Pastor Thompson stands upon the principle of servant-leadership, that the greatest leader is the man who is willing to be the greatest servant. He has a desire to be an agent of revival in the last hour; to be used of God as a conduit to lead the lost generations of men and women back to right relationship with Christ, and be an example to the "churched" how to be salt and light through signs of love, compassion, and mission.  Pastor Alton often says, "Christ was moved by compassion not by celebrity, so if our motivation in ministry is to get rich and famous, then we are on the wrong assignment. Hollywood is the other way!"
