LET ME WHET YOUR APPETITE

Vision:
I was walking with a large crowd of people, and we were in an open space when we all stopped as one. I was with the crowd, but not in it. I did not know any of the people in this crowd.

Suddenly they all raised a communion cup and piece of bread and took communion and I knew in my spirit they had all received salvation. Then I felt a pain in my gut, as if I were hungry.

We continued walking and came to a large building with a very large entrance to a door. Everyone went in and began to mill about in a tremendous hurry. I saw that we were in a food court and there were all types of fast foods available, all ready to eat, already packaged to go. The people were grabbing sandwiches and French fries and tacos and such and taking a few bites and then running back out the door they came in.

They would also grab these candies and sweets that were on a large carousel in the middle of the court and, again, take a few bites and then leave. I stood there a long time and begin to see that it was the same people continuing to come back every week to grab a bite and go, but they were never getting nourished, all the while I was getting hungrier.

I started walking again and saw a very small door on the other side of the food court. It was tiny, but I knew I could go through it if I squeezed myself down as small as I could and pushed through the door into a wide open plain. I turned back to see the door and there was nothing there.

I began to walk on this beautiful plain of long, plush, luxuriant grasses. I saw in the distance a large tree, standing alone. It was huge, and covered in all types and sizes and colors of fruit. As I grew nearer, I began to hear the tumble and roar of a river. I began to walk faster and as I came close, there appeared a table.

It was a beautiful table, with burnished wood and gold and it sat on the riverbank. I could not see into the river yet as the table consumed my entire vision. No matter which direction I looked the table continued on. There was a chair at the table, and it was my chair because my name was upon it. I sat down and looked above the river and there was a great cloud over it.

Suddenly the cloud turned to fire and I could see swords swirling through the fire. There appeared great quantities of different foods in the fire. They were being prepared by the fire. There was chicken, roast, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, fish, breads and large cakes.

The swords were impaling the different foods as they flew in the fire and suddenly the swords began to plummet towards me. They struck the table in front of me with great force but with precision so the foods were there on the swords for me to eat. There was no silverware, the only way to eat was with both hands, letting the juices and crumbs fall all about me as I ate and ate and ate. The more I ate, the stronger the fire and the greater the number of swords that appeared. As I leaned back for a moment to catch my breath, I looked to my right, and there was another person at a table that was theirs. They were eating as I was. I looked to the left and saw the same. As far as I could see, and my vision was strong, there were others doing as I was.

I then looked down and could see into the river. It was filled with all kinds of fruit, and the fruit was rolling and tumbling just like a river. I looked upstream and saw that the fruit was coming from the great tree and falling into and creating the river. I heard the Lord say, 'Reach in and take of my blessings'. I put my hand down and could reach into the tumbling river and pulled out a large watermelon and ate it. I knew I could have more if I reached out again.

As I sat there, eating a while, then resting a bit, then eating more, I felt the gnawing pain in my belly, the pain of hunger, begin to grow again. Even though I was full, I was still hungry, and I asked the Lord for help to understand.
As I sat and listened to the Lord tell me to exercise my faith, I began to feel a different stirring in my spirit, different from hunger pangs, a stirring that no food would satisfy. Suddenly the table, cloud, river and tree disappeared, and were replaced with a dark street. It was littered with trash, there were the sounds of babies wailing and screaming, adult voices fighting, sirens and gunshots. I began to walk, and a dread began to fall around me. I asked the Lord, "Where am I?" 'New York, Los Angeles, Chicago. Where am I?" I then saw a street sign, Montrose, and another, Allen Parkway, and another, South Main, and I realized I was in Houston. I began to walk faster, thinking that I would be out of this area and safe if I hurried. As I was looking over my shoulder, thinking that I was almost clear of this dangerous place, I ran into something very hard.

I was surrounded by a wall, I could not see the top of this wall, or the end of it, and I felt trapped. I could feel people all around me, people corrupted by the world, filled with sin and despair and hopelessness and I began to cry out, "Lord, what am I doing here? I am third day, I have my own banquet table, and I am never satisfied without more of you, why am I here?"

And He said, "My love is not a straight line, it is a ripple, a constantly growing and expanding wave of my grace and mercy, I have dropped you into a sea of sin, and now you will spread my love. And you will eat, again and again. You see, my son, you must be third day full when dropped so that you create a bigger wave in the world that will not go unnoticed. A wave of love that the lost will see."

Interpretation: The 2nd Day offers us nothing but junk food that will never satisfy. The Holy dissatisfaction that the Lord creates in the 2nd Day experience with Him, is to move us to the place of humility (the low small door) that will cause us to say, I need more, there must be something more! Once we have been humbled by crossing through the low and difficult door that are the processings and dealings of God to refine and sift us, we enter into the 3rd Day Banquet. All striving is behind us (the small door disappeared), and we are each given a banquet table that will provide everything we will have need of in the 3rd Day experience with the Lord. And the proof that we have entered in, is the abundance of fruit that we have access to. Jesus said, 'You will know them by their fruit'. This 3rd Day realm is a realm of trust and rest in Jesus, and doing only what we see, hear and speak on earth what the Father is doing in heaven. But we are not to eat and fill only ourselves! We must be willing, as 3rd Day people, to go into the darkest places and share our (His) banquet table with those that are spiritually hungry and thirsty for Him.
