THE WEDDING FEAST

As I was reading the account of the wedding feast of Canna in John 2:1-12,
I began to ask for further revelation and as the Lord saw fit He gave me one. The Gospel recalls that Jesus's mother asked Him to make more wine and Jesus said He would. In doing so He ask His mother what concern was it of His (?), and that it was not His hour.

Then His mother said to the servants to do whatever He said. It is recorded that there were six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews. Jesus ask the servants to fill the waterpots with water and to draw some out NOW and take it to the master of the feast, and so they did.

When the master of the feast had tasted the water and it had been turned into
wine he did not know where it had come from and then questioned why they saved the best to last. The Word says that the servants who had drawn
the water knew. The master also asked why the best had been saved till last and remarked that usually the inferior wine is always served first and that every man at the beginning sets out the good wine. This was the beginning of His signs and manifested Glory-in other words, this helped the disciples to believe in Him.

Interpretation: This really hit my heart as I read the account and started
seeing that there was something the Lord Himself was beginning to do in my
life. He began by drawing me out and doing it in a new timing, the timing of NOW.

That began a whole new look at this parable when I saw that only the true servants knew about what He had done.

I saw that the purification pots full of water mean that because I had been drawn out of the status quo, and that He Himself would do a work in my heart of stone and it would become a new soft heart for Him as I enter marriage with Him and begin to drink that new wine He Himself gave me.

This cup would not look right or be in vogue with customs or traditions or maybe even doctrine of today's church---but that began in me a new beginning with Him and it was a great preparation for what was coming on me in the days ahead, the lesson of 'Embracing the Cross'.

I did not know that three years later I would become house bound with a malformed brain stem hemorrhage called a Cavernous Malformation and that there would be no surgery or any treatment to cure me. Jesus and I would become very close and personal in the months ahead.

This wedding feast we speak of in the church becomes something none of us can or could imagine unless you go through this type of ceremony (if you could or would call it that) . May this introduce you to meet Him----OUR LORD----OUR MASTER--JESUS!! This started in 1993 and now here we are in 2002. Our Master really wants us to know that He is still drawing out some vessels NOW! Start asking yourself---can I drink this kind of wine?
