God has given us a season of grace to put our hearts on the altar for purification. However there are many that are still in blatant sin who have taken the grace of God in vain (2 Corinthians 6:1), assuming they can continue to remain defiled while God winks at their sin. This includes sexual sin, bitterness, unforgiveness, envy, jealousy, hatred, and the list goes on. This also includes outward sin that others can see. and any inward sin that only God sees (and remember He sees it all). In Gods ever reaching mercy I believe He will begin to send prophets to confront those who are still in rebellion. The Lord sent Nathan to King David to confront him about his sin. God is not being mean when He does that. It is because He loves us and wants us pure. The Lord is always good to warn us of His judgement so we can;t say we didn't know. He will give us time to respond to Him in repentance by the word of "a Nathan" that He chooses to send. If we refuse the Nathan and his or her corrective words, God will have no other choice but to expose our sin for the world to see. If you think He would not do that, just take a look back at church history. Great men and women of God have been brought low and had their sin exposed because of Gods love and mercy toward them. Saints, this is the time to get right with God, don't wait, call upon His mercy today and see how far reaching it really is. God longs to restore us to purity so we can fully abandon ourselves to Him. It is always for our good and it will affect those around us because we will be more and more like Jesus.
