The Eagle Weeps

Today is the day after the worst terrorist attack in America's history. I have been quiet before the Lord today asking things like, 'Lord, did your prophets and intercessors miss it?' Did you show us and we didn't perceive it? As I waited before the Lord all day listening, this is what He has just now spoken to my heart.

'Today the Eagle weeps, and I weep with her. My people knew that a shift and a change was being ushered in with the new year. The restoration of God's government will always bring upheaval to the powers of darkness. This is not an ending for America-this is really her beginning. Her new beginning of coming forth tried in the fire. The beginning of a strong and mighty nation whose God is the Lord. A closing and repairing of the vulnerable areas of her armor. This will be the beginning of the American Brides finest hour.'

As Rosh ha-Shanah approaches, let us look to the Lord of the Earth for comfort. Let us embrace the lost who know no comfort and lead them to the only one that can give comfort, the Lord. Please know that God didn't do this. We as a nation became vulnerable for many reasons. We must not bow our knee to the spirit of fear, rage, violence or murder. If we do, then we become hostage just as the enemy planned. We must make a stand to bow only before the King and stand united together as Jesus prayed in John 17.

If the National Leaders of our nation are being tested, the church leaders will be tested also. As a church leader this is the time to get rid of hidden sin. It will leave you vulnerable to exposure. The church's leadership must be pure and holy with the character of Christ to lead the lost in this nation into the Kingdom of Light. I think it is interesting the most visible sign of outpouring for our wound is the overabundance of the giving of blood. No doubt this points us to the only Blood that can cleanse us from our sin and pain, the blood of Jesus. Let mercy triumph over judgement. As the Eagle takes time to weep, let us begin to also spread our wings coming up out of the ashes, becoming stronger and soaring higher. Blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord.
