Doctrinal
Statement of At His Feet Ministries
The
following is a statement of our position of basic Christian doctrines.
There are certain basic Christian truths about which there must be agreement.
On all other doctrines we should “agree to disagree”. We
take an uncompromised stand on doctrinal absolutes, but consider ourselves
united with those who have different interpretations of the non-essentials
of the Christian faith. To the best of our ability and understanding
of the tried and true foundations of the Christian faith, we offer the
following as our “Doctrinal Statement of Faith”.
On
the Person of Jesus Christ
The Gospel of John declares that Jesus Christ
is the Word (logos) of God, made manifest in the flesh. Jesus is fully
God, yet fully human. He existed from eternity past with the Father,
and as Revelation 1:8 states He is the “Alpha and Omega, who is,
who was, and who is to come”.
He
was born of a virgin, though the impregnation of Mary by the Holy Spirit
(Luke 1:35). He led a sinless life, and He died on a cross, was buried
in a tomb and on the 3rd day He rose from the dead physically just as
He shall return physically. His death on the cross paid for mankind’s
sin and those who believe that Jesus is God and His death paid for their
sins shall be saved with the promise of eternal life with God.
Jesus
Christ is the creator of all things (Colossians 1:16), and He is the
ONLY mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5) Adams sin in the Garden
of Eden cause mankind to be separated from God. For one to be reconciled
to God they must go through Jesus Christ. We consider the primary purpose
of the church (the Lord Jesus’ Bride) to passionately pursue Him,
so that we may grow up into His likeness while waiting for His return.
It is not our desire to preach or teach or lead others to At His Feet
Ministries, but rather to preach, teach and lead others to the Glorious
God-Man Christ Jesus.
Blood
of Jesus
We believe that because of Adam’s fall,
all of mankind has sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Therefore,
the only remedy for mans condition is the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
His blood is the only way to get to God and His Throne of Grace. Works
or good deeds are simply a by-product of gratitude and love for a soul
washed by the blood of Jesus. Works are not done to appease God, but
for His joy and His glorification, done out of obedience NOT sacrifice
to Him.
Trinity
We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and
God the Holy Spirit, which are three persons in ONE Godhead.
Scripture
We believe the 66 books of the Bible are the
Divinely inspired canon of Gods’ testimony to man. We believe
ALL scripture is the very Word of God and inerrant in its original form.
We do not accept doctrine, spiritual experience, or revelations (dreams,
visions, prophecy, etc) that contradict Holy Scripture, and assert that
no other writings have ultimate authority as God’s written Word,
the Holy Bible.
Baptisms
We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience
when one gives their life to the Lord Jesus Christ, but does not bring
salvation in itself. The thief on the cross didn’t have time to
get water baptized and Jesus Himself declared that he would be with
Him in paradise that very day. However, if we are to be like Jesus and
do as He does, then we will enter into the expression of water baptism
to express what Christ has done in us.
We
also believe in the ’Baptism of the Holy Spirit” as an additional
impartation which may be subsequent to or at the time of regeneration
or being ‘Born Again’ (Acts 8:15-17 and 19:1-6). The gifts
of the spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10) and spiritual power to be a witness
(Acts 1:8) usually accompany this baptism. We hold to the truth that
Jesus Christ is always the same (Hebrews 13:8), and that He still operates
in and through His people today with demonstrations of power, signs
and wonders. We believe that this spirit baptism is available to all
who believe, but is not necessary for salvation. To those who are truly
“Spirit Baptized’ this should no longer be a divisive issue
in the Body of Christ.
Return
of Christ
We believe that their will be a 'Glorious Appearing'
in Christ's church before He comes for His church at the 'Second Coming'.
We believe He will begin to rule and reign through his church before
He comes for His church. We also believe that we, as a many membered
Body of Christ on the earth will so look like our Savior, the world
will look at us and want who we have, Jesus Christ. Out of His 'Glorious
Appearing' in us the great harvest will begin to come in, because it
is His desire that none should perish, but that all should come to a
saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus and his Grace made available by His
shed blood. In addition, we believe in the 'Present Reality of the Kingdom",
that the things spoken of in the book of Revelation are for His church
now to pull from heaven and bring to earth like it says in the Lord's
Prayer, 'Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on EARTH as it is in HEAVEN.
Doing what the Father is doing in heaven and replicating it on the earth
is how this is done, we must have an intimacy with the Lord in order
to see and hear from heaven to know what the Father is doing and demonstrate
it in the earth. Little by little the Kingdom comes, and the glory of
the Lord fills the earth through His people.
