Daughters of Liberty Declaration for 2008

In the past two years I have been privileged to host the 24 hour period known as the 'Daughters of Liberty Declaration', also known as the 'Day of Atonement'. Every year it falls on a different day and this 3rd year it was on September 21st starting at 6 PM until September 22 ending at 6 PM.

Each year so far has been so different, including this one, but what seemed to be something we hadn't noticed before was the sense that with each year we are being given puzzle pieces that will eventually fit together to form a big picture. We know that this year we were given some very large pieces, I would dare say even some 'border' pieces if you know anything about puzzles, and we are beginning to get a glimpse of something so great, it is awesome and scary all at the same time!

The following is what we sensed from the Lord for the year 2008 and beyond.

Part 1--Theme and Verse
Redemption of the Sixties

Joel 2:25 I will restore the years.

America seemed to lose her balance in the 1960's. (One of the women had a dream about skateboards which represent balance.) We have been in the 40 year anniversary of the turbulent sixties since 2000. We believe God is speaking strongly about the redemption of what America lost in the sixties, the real True and Free love that the Hippie movement was looking for is, was and always will be Jesus Christ. It is our opinion that a strong thread of redemption for America from the turbulent 60's seems to be a common theme throughout this Declaration.

Everything the 'Free Love Movement' was searching for can actually be found in Jesus. That is why the end of the sixties resulted in a revival that is still known today as 'The Jesus Movement'. God will again visit this nation with His Presence and give America what she lost in the decade of rebellion and what she almost moved into with the Jesus Movement visitation.

The retreat center we stayed at was called 'Heartland' and we really got a sense that God was going back to the roots of America to redeem what the enemy has stolen, not only from our nation's beginnings, but especially the 60's as we continue to celebrate a generation of the 60's at this time in history (40 years is a generation). One woman saw two hearts overlaid each other during our time at Heartland. We took this to mean His heart overlaid on our hearts to love Him and to love others. For years we were slain by His Glory, then we were in a season of learning to stand in His Glory, now the call is to commune with Him and others in His Glory.

WOMEN PIONEERS

VERSE- Luke 3:4 A voice shouting in the wilderness 'Prepare a pathway for the Lord's coming! Make a straight road for him! Fill in the valleys, and level the mountains and hills! Straighten the curves, and smooth out the rough places! And then all people will see the salvation sent from God'.

A big part of our nation's beginning was of course all the pioneers that sacrificed so much for our sake. Even the hippies, who were misdirected, were pioneers. We specifically felt this had to do with pioneers of the spirit that have sacrificed all for the sake of the Kingdom; our perfect example of course is Christ Himself. One of the women had a vision/dream of one of the other women dressed as a pioneer, which was further confirmation of this theme.

Even more specific, was the impression the Lord wanted to speak about 'women pioneers' in the church. Ps 68:11 (NLT), The Lord announces victory, and throngs of women shout the happy news.

Those women who had to suffer not only rejection and persecution, but the spiritual plowing that pioneers do that is often forgotten because once the way is opened by these pioneers, others begin to go through the passage they have prepared and few if any go back to thank them for what they did through God's grace.

We also felt that the spiritual women pioneers of the past had to lay their mantles down when they went home to glory. Just like Elijah when he was taken away by the chariot of God, his mantle had to be laid upon someone else to continue God's work in that area. (2 Kings 2:13)

We sense this is the time when the mantles of the former women spiritual pioneers are being laid upon today spiritual pioneers. Women like Catherine Booth (1829-1890) who co-founded the Salvation Army in 1864. She was a gifted preacher and had a leading role in the ministry. She suffered much abuse for her stand for Christ.

One of her quotes was, 'If this passage (Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.) does not teach that in the privileges, duties and responsibilities of Christ's Kingdom, all differences of nations, caste and sex are abolished, we should like to know what it does teach, and wherefore it was written. Another great woman pioneer was Phoebe Palmer (1807-1874). She was called the 'Mother of the Holiness' movement, because she realized that the Spirit was poured out on women as well as men. Some male leaders of her day refused to take her seriously, but to the many men and women leaders of the church who came to her meetings in her home and the 37,000 that subscribed to her publication, she was a powerful forerunner of her day.

One of my personal favorites of these women pioneers is Sojourner Truth (1797-1893). One of the most powerful black women pioneers born into slavery as Isabella Baumfree. Once she was liberated she became known as Sojourner Truth. Tall and frail looking, but when she opened her mouth, white men that came to harass her at her meetings would begin to tremble and shake and run away because the Presence of Holiness Himself was so powerful on her. She had an audience with 2 presidents and many civil leaders as well. This mantle we believe will fall on the many black women who have accepted the call as modern day pioneers.

Another great woman of faith was Helen Barrett Montgomery (1861-1943). She was the first women to translate the New Testament from Greek to English. It is also noted that she may have been instrumental in putting titles in chapters and sections of the Bible and mark verses with numbers in the margins. The additions made the Bible easier to read. She was the first female minister in her denomination, and served as assistant pastor at Lake Avenue Baptist Church in Rochester, New York.

The next one we looked at was Maria Woodworth-Etter. She began her healing and evangelistic ministry in 1880 at the age of 35. Her husband did not share her call and often stayed home to take care of the farm. By 1894 she had preached coast to coast 3 times. Stanley Smith of the famous 'Cambridge Seven' wrote of Maria, 'I venture to think that this ministry is unparalleled in the history of the Church. Women were not even allowed to vote in her day and yet her resolve to follow and obey God were paramount to her call. She said, "I heard the voice of Jesus calling me to go out in the highways and hedges and gather in the lost sheep'.

Another woman so dear to most modern day women is Corrie ten Boom (1892-1983). I don't think there is anyone we know of that carried God's grace in the face of such darkness. In WWII she and her sister suffered for Christ in a Nazi Concentration Camp. Her most noted quote out of that experience was, 'There is no pit so deep, that God is not deeper still'. Having survived the camp she began her ministry at the age of 53 traveling worldwide to over 60 countries over the next 33 years of her life. Her greatest joy was introducing her Savior and best friend Jesus Christ to the world.

There are so many more we could mention like Madame Guyon, Jesse Pen Lewis, Kathryn Kuhlman, and Mother Teresa. While they all have their critics and they all made mistakes, pioneering is difficult and the mistakes that pioneers make prevent others from making the same ones. That is why this call of 'pioneer' is not to be taken lightly and not many will pick it up.

In WWII the Marines who had reconnaissance duties were known as 'pioneers'. Marines are the only arm of the military whose leaders are true servants. For instance the officers always allow their Marines to eat before they do. This is the call of a spiritual pioneer, to sacrifice self for the good of others. The charge is serious, the call is formidable. God is again releasing the mantles of women pioneers, will you answer?

LIVING IN COMMUNITY- Matthew 18:20

Along with pioneers comes community. When you think about pioneers, who besides God Himself did pioneers depend on? Fellow pioneers! Early Americans depended on each other and lived in community. Modern humans don't really need each other. We have air travel, microwaves, TV, IPODS, and Google!

This really was the cry of the Hippie Movement in the 1960's, their desire for real, true community. The 'Summer of Love' that was started in the sixties in the Haight-Ashbury District of San Francisco is being redeemed by the Lord of Love Himself.

We had to laugh at God because we couldn't get wireless internet where we were and we couldn't Google! Since we couldn't Google, guess what, we had to communicate with each other! We had to be in community! For me personally, it was at times difficult, but it taught me so much.

God is a communing God. He loves community. And if He loves it, we need to be in it! When 2 or more are gathered in My Name… (Matt 18:20).

The word communion is nothing more than 'common union'. We take this to mean something as common as sitting at a table speaking of the things of the Lord can become a very Holy place when we are in community with one another. How many times do we see Jesus in the Gospels sitting around the table with His followers having union, fellowship and breaking bread together?

In our society we have learned how to live life with very little interaction. We don't have to talk, we have email and texting and voice mail. We don't have to ask someone's opinion or what they know about a subject, we have Google….are you getting the point?

The Lord instructed us to 'remember' Him when we partake of communion. This doesn't just mean to think about Him, but to Re-Member His Body. To 'put together again' a Body that has been torn and separated. In Re-membering His Body we take up the challenge to live in community with one another. To Re-Member Him is to 'Come Together'. Interesting one of the most popular Beatles songs from the 60's is "Come Together'.

A few months ago I was in a gift shop and found a red wooden antique looking box that had branded on the front 'UNION COFFEE'. In our 1st Declaration for 2006 we had a section on the 'Coffee Company' who we felt the Lord spoke to us as a group of people that He had been preparing to be the 'strong drink' given to the church to wake her up at the dawning of a brand new day. We realized with the emphasis on 'community' and 're-membering' and 'common-union', this wooden coffee box was a reminder that not only is there a company of people that have a 'wake-up' call for the church, but in community how many times do we talk about the things of the Lord over a cup of coffee…a very 'common' thing becomes very Holy when again, 2 or 3 are gathered.

Do you realize how many 'one-another's' there are in the New Testament? There are at least 44 that I find and they are the formula for living in community

Part 2
Color for the Year-Rainbow

It has been over a biblical generation since our nation mourned the loss of its' beloved President in November of 1963. Having gone through deep grief myself several years ago, I can tell you that grief is the same as tearing your heart out and exposing it bare for all to see, in others words it leaves you highly vulnerable. It also takes time to be completely healed of grief.

At a time in which America was still very wounded and vulnerable to dark spiritual forces the turbulent 60's arrived and with it the Hippy movement. Within that decade rebellion was released in our nation, school prayer was taken out, and a sexual revolution began that would open the doors to all manor of trouble in the 70's and 80's.

Again, we believe the Lord wants to restore what the enemy stole in the 60's to the current generation. We believe His Holiness will be displayed in the streets of America, and the innocence lost in the 6o's will return.

Interesting the color for the 60's was the rainbow. The specific house we were staying in at 'Heartland Retreat Center' was called the 'Rainbow Cottage'. The rainbow is the sign of God's covenant and is again at the forefront because this 40 year period is on America's mind. The hippies had the right idea, but the wrong source. Free love is still available, but it is found in the sacrifice Christ made for all on the cross 2000 years ago.

One of the women in our group had a dream about a ship with a 'Rainbow' colored anchor. Many times a ship in a dream is symbolic of the Church. Hebrews 6:19-20 This hope we have as an anchor (safeguard) of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner (pioneer) for us, having become a high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Jesus our Covenant God is the only anchor able to keep us stable. The Rainbow is beginning to come forth over our nation again, as a sign of New Beginnings for our Nation and the American Church.

The Rainbow also speaks of a Company of People, we are the Rainbow Company, the called out ones that are to show forth the Glory of God. Revelation 4:2-3 'Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold; a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne. And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance'.

That Rainbow around the Throne is us! We are the original 'Rainbow People'! We are to be a covenant People that are at His Throne surrounding Him. The Rainbow Family philosophy has its roots in 1960s hippie culture and the peace movement. Again, the hippies had the right idea, but the wrong source. We were blessed at sundown at the end of 'The Day' with a rainbow sunset. What a beautiful way for God to reaffirm what He had been speaking during the 24 hours we set aside to listen. God is redeeming the 1960's, and we get to be on the front row to watch!

HOSPITALITY- Part of living in community is showing hospitality. Three times in the New Testament we are told to be hospitable.

Romans 12:12-13 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

1 Timothy 5:10 A widow is to be honored if she has shown hospitality to strangers.

Hebrews 13:2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

It is so easy to come home from a long day, use the garage door opener, drive into our garage and disappear into our homes and never have to see anyone. The upward call for the next year is to open our homes to the saved and lost as well and show God's hospitality as we learn to live in community.

The root word for hospitality is hospital. We are called to care for the weak and lost by showing hospitality. Make a decision to take someone into your home for fellowship this year. Practice hospitality, for where 2 or 3 are gathered, Jesus will show up!

Part 3
Number for the Year--4

The number 4 represents the world that we are taking Jesus to. We get the meaning of the number 4 from the 4th day of creation of the earth or world. Also North, South, East, West are the 4 seasons of the earth or world. Taking Jesus to the streets was loud and clear from the Lord as the repetition of the number kept coming.

Outside the Rainbow Cottage we were staying in were 4 doors laying on a carpenter's bench. The retreat center was doing some refurbishing of some of the facilities. We thought it was interesting that there were 4 doors outside our cottage. We took this to mean that the Carpenter Himself is fashioning new doors for the church to walk through to retrieve the lost in ways we haven't thought of before. Doors of salvation that in the past were closed are now being opened.

The lost souls of today have to have more than a 3 piece suit in a pulpit. They are not responding to it presently because it is not working anymore. We must be willing to have Christ Himself open these doors and then be willing to walk through them even though they don't fit our 'religious ideas' about how the lost must get saved. Jesus is not stagnant or stale, and He is ever revealing Himself in the history of mankind.

Part 4
Those Who Tolerate Jezebel

Revelation 2:18-22 And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: The Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet are like burnished bronze, says this:

`I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first. `But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. `I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality.

`Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds.

We are beginning to see those who have tolerated Jezebel in any area of our life are being thrown on her bed of suffering. When we refuse to cut Jezebel off we are thrown onto HER bed of suffering. Many times Christians don't want to cut Jezebel off either because they have unsanctified mercy with others who operate in this spirit, or because there is a payoff in some way for tolerating her. Perhaps financial, or fame or whatever reason, it doesn't matter. The Lord clearly says here that when we tolerate her we get thrown on her bed of suffering.

Many public ministries this year are being exposed because of the Lord's mercy to pull them out of Jezebel's grip. This is the 'Halls of Justice' (http://athisfeetministries.org/2007_declaration.htm ) we saw last year in our Declaration 2007 coming to fulfillment.

This refinement in public or hidden ministries is not the Lord's judgment on His people, (remember His judgment was taken out at the cross 2000 year ago), but rather that same judgment being upheld against the powers of darkness that have had these believers in bondage. As the chains come off of the saints it can look really messy. We felt this was going to be seen in those who are in the fivefold ministry or in those who have been self appointed to such. All will be laid bare before Him whose eyes are a blazing fire, as He continues to shake everything that can be shaken and walk through His Church. (Hebrews 4:13, Hebrews 12:29)

I had a dear friend tell me years ago and I have witnessed this, that when one of God's children refuses to come under Holy Spirit's correction, God will turn them over to the civil authorities. In other words the private cleansings they could have had will now become public because God is refining His church.

Jezebel's seat is not out in the world, it is on the religious system within the church. Revelation18:7 To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, `I SIT as A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.'

We must be widows to our first husband Adam, or we will continue to operate in the flesh. We are to be betrothed to Christ and reckon Adam dead. Romans 7:1-6

The arrogance of prostituting the anointing is coming to an end. I had a dream in which I was given the responsibility of restoring my husband's grandmothers' house. I was in her house with two other women, a woman named Lisa (consecrated) and Karen (purity). There were others coming through the house as scavengers trying to take the treasures and go out and sell them. I began to throw them out of the house and lock the doors so they could no longer sell my inheritance. I think the dream is self explanatory.

The warning is, if you are tolerating Jezebel anywhere in your life ask the Lord to help you come out from her. You may lose some friends, or a church, a job, or even some fellowships you think you can't live without, but the alternative is not a choice in the hour we are living.

THE LAMPSTAND MINISTRY- Along with the challenge to come away from Jezebel is a group of people that have been given the charge to the 'Lampstand' ministry. In the Holy Place of the Tabernacle was the lampstand. The lampstand was to bring illumination. There is currently a company of people that God is using as 'lampstands' to illuminate Jezebel attachments in relationships, churches, and fellowships.

God never brings correction without warning us first. Many in this 'lampstand' ministry are often confused when God brings them into certain fellowships for a season and Christ in them begins to illuminate certain areas where Jezebel has reign in those places. Once the illumination takes place the leader of that group has the opportunity to listen to what the Lord is saying through these 'lampstands' and bring their group under correction.

Many times the 'lampstands' are looked on as troublemakers because after all it seemed 'all was well' before they got there. This is the same anointing that was on Elijah to illuminate Jezebel in his day, as he was called the 'Troubler of Israel' (1 Kings 18:17) But the Lord Himself says if the warnings He gives to the church at Ephesus are not heeded He will remove their lampstand. Revelation 2:5 Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place--unless you repent. These modern day 'lampstands' could be called and many times are, "Troublers of the Church.

The Lord gave us a confirmation when two of the women went for a walk at dusk on the first night. Suddenly out of a clearing 3 beautiful thundering horses came running out and came to a stop, watching to see if the women were friend or foe. They waited and smelled to discern what motive the women had. The horses represent a powerful and strong discernment ministry. This is the ministry of the Zadok Priesthood spoken of in Ezekiel 44:23 'And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean'.

It was the ZADOK Priests that were given the anointing and the commission to discern between the HOLY and the COMMON (or profane). We have our own ideas about what is Holy and what is Profane. Holy is not 'church' stuff and Profane is not 'out in the world' stuff.

Holy has its source in the Lord within the church, and profane comes from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the church. As they say, there are a lot of 'good' things the church is doing that are evil, because good and evil come from the same tree. If the source is the Lord it is Holy and from the Tree of Life. If Jezebel or any other satanic source begins to speak in the church disguised as the Holy Spirit, that is when it is profane and that is when the discernment of the modern day Zadok priests has red flags going off.

While everyone around them can be saying and thinking, 'This is a move of God, this is from God', the Zadok Priest, who may be the minority, discern that an evil source has come to replace the Holy Spirit. Remember Anti-Christ doesn't mean against Christ, it means 'in the place of' Christ. The Anti-Christ spirit is always a substitute for Christ. As long as believers allow the voice of Anti-Christ to rule, Christ will allow it because He always provides a lampstand to warn the leadership.

Part 5
The Age of Aquarius

In keeping with the 60's theme, one of the popular songs in the late sixties was 'The Age of Aquarius', sung by the 5th Dimension. The New Ager/Hippies of the day thought that some great spiritual awakening would occur as the planets aligned and a new spiritual age would be ushered in, an age where unity, peace, and love would prevail. Again, they were on to something, but had the wrong source. The alignment of planets they believed would happen actually has a great significant prophetic meaning.

There is going to be a spiritual awakening, but it will be an awakening to the Revelation of Jesus Christ. There is currently an alignment of God's order and government that is bringing forth a Revelation of Jesus Christ through God's people. God's Kingdom is coming, not only to the church, but to governments, entertainment and arts, education, business, media, and family.

Just as the head cloth was folded in the empty tomb and the body garment was not (John 20:6-7 Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen.), the order of the separated Body will began to come under the order of the Head, which is Christ. This will result not only in a Kingdom governmental order for the Body of Christ, but an attachment, not a separation from the Head as well. This is the fulfillment of the Heavenly Man from last years Declaration (http://www.athisfeetministries.org/2007_declaration.htm ) and His reign being poured from the Heavenly realm into the earth realm.

Originally the Lord intended for the constellations to tell His Story. Take for instance the constellation 'Orion' (see 2007 Declaration http://athisfeetministries.org/2007_declaration.htm ), each of the stars in Orion tells of the Lord's first and second coming.

Ps 19 1-6 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day after day they pour forth their speech, night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoices like a strong man to run its race. Its rising is from one end of heaven, and its circuit to the other end; and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

Everything in creation speaks of Christ and His Redemptive work on the cross. His death, burial, and resurrection are seen throughout creation and history. The constellation 'Aquarius' speaks of the water bearer. We are the 'Living Water' bearers, just as Jesus told his Disciples in Luke 22:10 And He said to them, "When you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house that he enters". We are to be the 'water bearers' that lead people into God's Kingdom house.

Additionally, 5 is the number for grace in the bible. We get this from the 5 wounds of Christ (hands, feet, side, head and back), and others passages, so when we think of the 5th Dimension as the group that sang 'The Age of Aquarius', we see another symbol of the Revelation of Christ resulting from a continued work of grace in the church and world.

An added confirmation of that continued work of the 5th dimension of grace that will usher in this Revelation of Christ among the nations were 5 angel feathers that begin to drop during the 24 hour period. I am skeptical and really had never seen anything like it before. We initially thought we had feather pillows or feather couches. But we didn't and they kept falling, even when we would go to sleep and there were no feathers we would wake up and there they would be. It really brought home the scripture from Psalm 91:4, 11 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

Part 6
The End of the Age, The Beginning of the Kingdom

While the Hippie Movement was sincere, its source was sincerely wrong. Just as any man-made movement the hippie movement died out. The final blows to the turbulent 60's were the Manson Murders that occurred in August of 1969. The city of Los Angeles was in a state of panic until the leader of the murderous cult, Charles Manson, was identified and arrested. Joan Didion, author of The White Album (a book about the late sixties), wrote that many in Los Angeles believed "the 60s abruptly ended on August 9, 1969."

As the Lord is redeeming the 60's Generation, we noticed that in late November of 1969 Manson was arraigned in Independence, California. The only place I could find a retreat center this year was in Independence, Texas. We felt impressed the independence from responsibility and authority that the hippies thought would make them reach utopia is now a call to the Bride of Christ to become 'independent' from the religious or Jezebel system and to renew our dependence on our Bridegroom Christ Jesus.

The end of the 60's is, for the American Church, a new beginning for the Kingdom of God and His Christ, Jesus our Lord. Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come"! And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.

We pray this year's Declaration has been a blessing not only for now but in the years to come as well. Amen.
